VIDEO: NM Incite on the the ‘social business’ challenge

This morning I attended NM Incite’s Social Media Week London event, which looked at the organisational challenges posed by the growth in social media. It is an increasingly fertile area, evidenced by the bewildering variety of ways that companies are choosing to structure and parcel out social media responsibility.

NM Incite is the joint venture set up last year between Nielsen Media and McKinsey. It focuses on using social media insight to drive better business performance and – as such – today’s discussion looked beyond marketing, into such areas as organisational design, product development and customer service.

In the video below NM Incite head of EMEA Bradley Little explains why companies are struggling to cope with the advent of social media, and why they need to focus on talent and culture to eventually succeed.
